About Me

My name is Wong Kar Yean. I started studying interior design because I was amazed by the astonishing buildings and their designs that I have visited over the years, locally and internationally. I always wondered how good designs are done, and curious what the designers had done to complete a project. Hence, I joined and started to understand.

In college, most of my work were conceptual. Based on the concept and course structure, many crazy ideas can be implemented with minimal concern about the functionality. It was when I started my internship that I learnt the importance of practicality in projects. I had worked in two different internship companies for around 9 months altogether. I studied the different types of work and styles that were used in different companies. My supervisors and seniors in the first company taught me a lot about drafting, materials and space planning whereas my supervisors in the second internship company gave me more opportunity to design my own project and guided me from start to end of project.

Thanks to lecturers, seniors and supervisors that I met along the way who helped me through my studies and work, I have gained more confidence in my work and know how to handle different kind of difficulties to solve client's solutions. However, I will still
