Asian Scientist Magazine is an award-winning science and technology magazine that highlights R&D news stories from Asia to a global audience. The magazine is published by Singapore-headquartered Wildtype Media Group, Asia’s leading STEM and healthcare media company.

Supercomputing Asia

In partnership with the National Supercomputing Centre Singapore (NSCC), we publish the award-winning Supercomputing Asia, a biannual print title dedicated to demystifying supercomputing for the layman. The first of its kind, Supercomputing Asia has profiled many of the industry’s leading lights including Gordon Bell, Satoshi Matsuoka and Jack Dongarra.

Wildtype Books

Wildtype Books, an imprint of Wildtype Media, is an independent publisher of popular science books, biographies and children’s literature. Notable works include Sydney Brenner’s 10-on-10: The Chronicles of Evolution—a richly illustrated book that narrates the story of evolution from the Big Bang to the future—and Asian Scientist Junior—a six-part children’s book series that dives into the lives of extraordinary scientists.

Graphic Designer (Full-time Remote)

Passionate about telling compelling science stories with impactful visuals?

We are looking for a full-time remote Graphic Designer.

Requirements:

• At least 1–2 years of experience with an agency or publishing company
• A strong visual portfolio showcasing conceptualizing skills, editorial design and illustration
• Expert knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite
• Passion for typography, publication design, digital design, illustration and brand design
• Meticulous and detailed oriented
• A resourceful attitude and eagerness to learn new skills
• Knowledge in After Effects and Web design is a plus, but not mandatory

Key Responsibilities:

• Conceptualise and develop captivating design with good visual storytelling and fundamental design principles for both print and digital
• Work closely with Art Director, Editorial Team and Marketing Team in creating original concepts and designs for in-house and client projects
• Have excellent presentation and communication skills to be able to articulate and present design concepts to team members and clients
