We are looking for two (2) full-time versatile junior content creators who are able to write and craft content for the verticals of our lifestyle platform (with a priority on the Automotive, Yachting and Business Aviation verticals and Travel, Real Estate & Property and Gastronomy being secondary verticals).

The candidates must have a strong passion for the segments mentioned, while also brimming with new ideas for evergreen features. The candidates must also be keen to conduct interviews as well as attend events.

Reporting to the Managing Director, the ideal candidates shall be enthusiastic all-rounders who can create and write quick, accurate and engaging lifestyle stories readers will love.

As with all roles within the team, you will be required to help with other areas of the site during major events, working out of hours when required.

Responsibilities:

• Pitch three original stories/content (short/long) daily across all Lifestyle verticals;
• Research, analyse and write original lifestyle articles and feature stories;
• Curate stories and images from subscription news wires, PR agencies, brands and correspondents;
• Write clear, accurate and engaging copy to tight deadlines;
• Write strong headlines, snappy meta titles and captions;
• Ensure all stories are of the highest standard and legally sound;
• Closely monitor the performance of your stories and help implement new strategies to improve traffic;
• Write marketing copies when required;
• Conducting interviews and writing them when required;
• Assist in the development of ideas, angles and stories;
• Assist in developing branded content for clients;
• Proofreading and fact checking content in ensuring accuracy;
• Manage and update content on social channels;
• Does live updates of events (still/dynamic) over social platforms

Qualification:

• Minimum college graduate with a major in communication or journalism;
• Highly proficient in writing and speaking in English;
• Web-savvy and knowledgeable about online journalism tools;
• Keen interest in lifestyle topics;
• An eye for detail along with critical thinking;
• Able to work both independently adhering to strict deadlines;
• Able to work in a team and possess good interpersonal skills;
• Can shoot photos/videos on the fly
